Shopping For A Mobility Scooter

Posted on December 14, 2020January 5, 2021 by Chillie Falls

Shopping for a mobility scooter will be the first of several posts showing some available scooters. I am hoping to find a lightweight folding unit that is can easily be thrown in the backseat of my truck or a car.

Still it must be strong enough for my obese frame, capable of a healthy range when fully charged, and be airline acceptable. This video shows several choices.

Best Electric Mobility Scooter

Shopping for a mobility scooter must start with an overview of what I need. A Lightweight Folding Boot Mobility scooter is an aid similar to a wheelchair but configured like a motor-scooter. It is often referred to as a power-operated electric scooter. A mobility scooter has a seat over two rear wheels, a flat area for the feet, and handlebars in front to turn one or two steerable wheels. Boot scooters are compact and easy to dismantle which makes them ideal for the trunk of your car or backseat of your truck. Boot mobility scooters give you the flexibility and independence to go anywhere as they’re easily transportable. Electric mobility scooters come in 3 and 4 wheel varieties and assist those with walking disabilities in getting around.

2. Afikim Sportster SE

The classic model is a design milestone of Afiscooters and has become an icon in the world of personal electric mobility. It provides a stable and safe ride in any environment and on any terrain. An orthopedic seat offers maximum comfort and the simple and reliable electronic command system make the SE Scooter extremely easy to operate.

3. Drive Medical Scout

The Drive Medical Scout transportable scooter combines convenient mobility with superior value in a colorful, customizable exterior. The Scout is compact, lightweight, and easy to disassemble into five manageable pieces, making it ideal for both daily use and travel that requires vehicle transportation. The four-wheel Scout offers enhanced stability on rougher outdoor terrain.

If you are looking for a mobility scooter that is both affordable and stylish, look no further than the EW-M34! It’s the best value, longest-range and lightest-weight four-wheel travel scooter on the market today! (The heaviest piece is 28 lbs.) The EW-M34 can be mounted on a carrier for easy transport, or disassembled and stored in the back of vehicle or trunk.

5. DI BLASI R30

The DI BLASI electric mobility scooter mod. R30 ensures a comfortable drive and easy access. It’s easy to drive because all you have to do is activate the switch and press the lever to regulate the speed. You can even use it in narrow spaces because it’s only 62 cm wide. It’s easy to handle because it uses a 58 cm turning circle and is fitted with a reverse gear. Its wheels have a diameter of 31 cm, making it safe to use even on unpaved roads.
