Hollywood Beach

You’ll be able to explore the beachfront area which features a whole host of restaurants, bars and stores by strolling along the 2.5 mile-long Boardwalk. This flat, brick-paved walkway stretches from Hollywood North Beach Park to Jefferson Street and is a popular thoroughfare for pedestrians, cyclists and rollerbladers.
The beach features 8 Mobi-Mat wheelchair access mats providing easy access to the white sands at regular intervals along the paved walkway. Beach wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis from the city’s Beach Safety Division.

Fort Lauderdale Beach
Fort Lauderdale Beach is the heart and soul of the city. A vibrant neighborhood with a fun nightlife, frequent events, endless cuisine options and of course, a white-sand shoreline. You really could spend an entire day in this neat neighborhood.
The city provides beach wheelchairs for use in this area, you can pick one up at the Sebastian Street lifeguard tower. Keep in mind that they are available anytime between 10am and 4:30pm. On the same street is where you’ll find accessible parking, at 3031 Sebastian St.
The beach has accessible showers for use to wash off all the sand. Additionally, you will find accessible restrooms both at the beach and at the beach park.
Pompano Beach
If you are renting a vehicle and want to explore the greater Fort Lauderdale area, Pompano Beach is a 20 minute drive up north. It is a fun town to explore and perfect for the whole family with several playgrounds around. Pompano Beach brings a lot of snorkelers due to coral reefs close to shore and crystal clear water. The beach itself is wheelchair accessible and there are two beach wheelchairs available for public use seven days a week.
