Whilst watching STV News I was excited to learn that a new fitness facility called DR Inclusive Fitness has opened in Loanhead, Edinburgh by owner Dale Robertson with the aim of supporting those who find it difficult to access regular gyms.
Having worked with disabled people for over fifteen years, personal trainer Dale wanted to provide a place for people with health conditions to receive a mix of rehabilitation, personal training and peer support.
Since its launch, Dale has seen great demand for inclusive fitness facilities which isn’t surprising considering around 1 in 5 people have a disability. It’s great to see the personal training service provided by DR Inclusive Fitness has been well received. Particularly for disabled people who can’t physically access regular gym buildings or their standard equipment.
But for anyone who can’t travel to the inclusive gym in Edinburgh, they won’t have to miss out as Dale also offers home visits. This is a great way to still get involved for anyone looking to maintain an active lifestyle.
