October 29-30, 2022
Everyone is welcome to participate in San Antonio’s Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)—a tradition of remembering loved ones who have passed. To honor the lives of the departed, family and friends attend lively processions and parades, wear traditional dress, and build altars.
The country’s largest Day of the Dead celebration occurs in Hemisfair where four stages host bands, poets, and dance groups. This year’s event features some 50 decorated altars and a procession with life-sized puppets.
One of America’s most historic cities, San Antonio delivers a culturally diverse destination with an abundance of accessible attractions. Such as Morgan’s Wonderland, McNay Art Museum, The River Walk, and The Pearl.
